Proximal Fifth Metatarsal Fractures in Children: Outcomes of Non‐Operative Treatment

Abstract

The treatment of proximal 5th metatarsal fractures is based on location and displacement, but surgery is often recommended in adult feet due to the watershed location and poor vascularity of the bone. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of children treated without surgery for their proximal 5th metatarsal fractures.
