Abstract
This Nutrition Policy Institute research brief summarizes a study that demonstrated the ability of the School Site-Level Assessment Questionnaire (School SLAQ) to detect meaningful change in school nutrition and physical activity practices when corresponding policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change interventions take place. A key property of measurement tools is sensitivity, the ability to detect meaningful changes over time when they occur. Accordingly, the School SLAQ can be a useful research tool to evaluate the impact of school-based PSE interventions.
