UCI Libraries' Chatbot Files (ANTswers)

Chatbots (also known as conversational agents, artificial conversation entities, or chatterboxes) are computer applications that imitate human personality. Using the open-source software, Program-O and the AIML programming language the UC Irvine Libraries developed ANTswers. At the 2013 SCIUG conference, the presenter focused on the project management for developing a chatbot and how to start programming a chatbot. This year the presenter will unveil ANTswers and focus will be placed on how to update, evaluate and data mine a conversational agent. The presenter has also made all of the AIML files that makes up ANTswers available for download through eScholarship.
