Abstract
A genealogical and historical sketch of Illinois suffragist Adella Maxwell Brown (Mrs. Harrison M. Brown). She was the first president of Peoria Equal Suffrage Association (founded 1912), and soon became president of Illinois Equal Suffrage Association (1915-16). Draws from genealogical sites, period newspapers, published reports, and archival materials.
