PPMVCAC is an editorial reviewed, open access collection of abstracts and papers submitted to capture and communicate the presentations conducted in each year of the association’s annual meetings. The editor is appointed by the association’s board of trustees, with appointments having been made to renown researchers with exemplary publication experience that have served to elevate the contents for future reference and research use. 

Now an online-only reference, the PPMVCAC seek to serve a broad audience of students, university faculty, biologists, control technicians, public health professionals, legislators, special district trustees, communication professionals and all those interested in the implementation of vector control and research in service of the residents of California. 

With publication beginning in 1941, PPMVCAC has catalogued best the evolution of best practices in mosquito and vector control, as well as, the ever-changing landscape of vectors and vector-borne diseases in California including: 

• Incidence and associated vector-abundance of early endemic diseases such as malaria, St. Louis encephalitis and western equine encephalitis in California
