About Civil and Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) designs infrastructure systems essential to economic activity, studies interactions between environmental and human systems, and strives to build a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable world. With 28 full-time faculty (plus 6 affiliated faculty), over 480 undergraduates, close to 140 graduate students, a team of dedicated staff, and extensive connections to industry via the CEE affiliates, we offer a broad interdisciplinary academic environment where our students can grow, thrive and earn an excellent engineering education. We offer two ABET-accredited B.S. degrees (Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering), and a M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. There are two options for our master’s degrees: a thesis option and a non-thesis option.
