The Center for Analytical Finance (CAFIN) is built around a global network of researchers whose aim is to produce cutting edge research with practical applications in the area of finance and financial markets. CAFIN focuses primarily on three critical areas:

• Market Design
• Systemic Risk
• Financial Access

Put together, the analysis of these three areas of finance represents a concerted attack on the fundamental problems of economic systems in the post-financial-crisis world. This approach and the role of CAFIN can be
seen as tackling these problems as a unified “grand challenge” for the modern global economy.
