Acceptable Uses

Authors may use generative AI tools and technologies for the following purposes:

• Formatting citations and references.

• Checking grammar, spelling, and style.

• Creating figures or visualizations, provided they are based on valid and verifiable data.

• Translation of author-written text (with human review).

Prohibited Uses

Authors may not use generative AI tools and technologies to:

• Generate entire manuscripts or major sections of a manuscript.

• Fabricate data, results, or references.

• Attribute authorship to AI tools (AI cannot be listed as an author).

Disclosure Requirement

Authors must include a statement in the Methods or Acknowledgments section of the manuscript specifying:

• Which AI tools were used.

• The purpose for which they were used (e.g., grammar check, formatting, translation).

• Confirmation that all AI-generated outputs were reviewed and verified by the authors.

Example Statement

“The authors used Grammarly for grammar corrections and ChatGPT for style refinement. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and verified by the authors, who take full responsibility for the final manuscript.”

Accountability

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work.
Misuse or failure to disclose AI use may be treated as publication misconduct (including rejection or retraction).
