Rondo (1990) opens with the rondo tune set in parallel inverted triads. The B section has a light melody, with 6/8 and 3/4 meters juxtaposed between the hands. The rondo melody returns, followed by the lyrical C section, with the final rondo section building to a thunderous finish.
