Whether aware of it or not, the intersections of one's social identities drastically impact the experiences and opportunities in their day-to-day life. Specifically looking at queer women of color, their lived experiences will be drastically different to that of white women, such as the bias they may experience. The present study investigates the lived experiences of queer Filipina women, exploring how the intersection of their race, gender, and sexual orientation shapes their identities and daily lives. Through in-depth interviews with 15 participants, the research examines their experiences within both physical and digital communities, and the impact of navigating these intersecting identities on their mental health and well-being. Addressing a gap in existing literature, which often prioritizes the experiences of gay Filipino men, this study centers the voices of queer Filipina women to provide a nuanced understanding of their unique challenges and lived realities. The findings aim to inform the development of more inclusive policies and support systems for this marginalized population.
