Svana

Abstract

Svana is a two-act play that centers on Svana, a young woman navigating personal growth and self-discovery. The script is within a fantasy world of two divided kingdoms. Within the two divided kingdoms, Svana finds the location named Far, used throughout literally and symbolically. The play itself explores themes of change and womanhood within a world of fantasy. The plot involves her having escaped her home kingdom. Svana must learn to adapt to a new life in the neighboring kingdom. Throughout the play, inner and interpersonal conflicts are represented as a tale of coming of age. The play aims to not only entertain the audience but also resonate with the audience and leave a lasting impression. Immersing them in magic and transformation, connecting to Svana’s inner self. While also more importantly helping people relate to the story in a way that is thematically related to real-life experiences, such as change in many ways. I hope the script itself is enjoyable for the audience who enjoys fantasy.
