Improving Americans' modest global warming knowledge in the light of RTMD (reinforced theistic manifest destiny) theory
Abstract
Study 1 (N=270) reveals U.S. knowledge about global warming's mechanism to be poor, but Study 2's experiment (N=149) shows that a brief, 400-word text yields both large knowledge gains and more climate change acceptance. The results cohere with RTMD theory. © ISLS.
