Abstract

A simple linear exploration game made in Construct 3 where the player controls a diver going through the ocean. There are deadly fish that the player can either avoid or kill, though the game has an element which makes the fish harder to deal with if the player kills fish (i.e. heighten speed/"aggro"), which is reduced if the player cleans the environment by picking up trash.

The goal was to create a game with a reactive environment instead of reactive individual elements, as most games have consequences limited to individual elements or areas. This was partly to play on the player expectation that they can act without negative reaction from the game.
