As schools are the primary education facilities for many, it is essential that they are conducive learning environments that support student wellbeing. Previous research showcases the positive connection between school climate and student wellbeing. Regretfully, the COVID-19 pandemic posed a significant negative impact on student well-being and a host of school outcomes. This systematic literature review examined post-COVID-19 pandemic research to glean recommendations for practices, policies, and interventions that foster improved school climate and wellbeing. Sources were identified through a search of psychology and education research databases using specified terms identified review of school climate and wellbeing related research for the period between February 1, 2020 and November 5, 2025. The systematic review retained 20 articles for review. A synthesis of this information yielded several best practice recommendations for strategies to promote positive school climate and improve student wellbeing. Recommendations noted consistently across examined research included: 1) Findings from this systematic review provides guidance to educators to support improved school climate and student wellbeing. Furthermore, findings reiterate the importance of school climate in promoting student outcomes.
