Abstract
The Fifth Assessment’s Climate-Induced Human Displacement and Migration Statewide Topical Report discusses the complex and consequential challenges of climate mobility.
This report synthesizes current evidence on the drivers, pathways, and consequences of climate-induced displacement and migration in California, spanning intra-California mobility, interstate migration, and international migration to and from California. It focuses on vulnerable regions and communities as well as the interconnected challenges for key sectors, including housing, emergency management, transportation, energy and water, health, education, labor and employment, and community identity and cohesion.
