The Journal of Mughal Studies is the first peer-reviewed academic journal to be devoted exclusively to the history and culture of Mughal Empire (1526-1857), one of the most renowned polities of the early modern world, known for its economic and political power and its cultural achievements. The journal will provide a central venue for scholarship in the field, catalyze future research by its presence, and will connect Mughal Studies to other academic fields.
