Aim & Scope

Interversar is a hybrid journal primarily run by graduate students from various disciplines affiliated to the Latin American Studies Center at the University of California, Irvine. The yearly peer-reviewed journal is complemented by a blog that publishes monthly essays, responses to the peer-reviewed articles published in the journal, reviews of cultural events, art, and creative works, etc., in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. We seek to promote interdisciplinary debates and dialogues that offer stimulating insights on Latin American art, theory, and socio-political events, fostering an international dialogue among individuals from different academic and non-academic fields, sociocultural registers, and backgrounds.
