Pharos is the undergraduate Greek & Roman Studies journal under the University of California, Berkeley. Pharos shall provide a forum for undergraduate scholarship and other work concerning the ancient world and its reception, including contributions from authors both within and beyond UC Berkeley. The journal shall promote intellectual rigor, constructive scholarly exchange, and engagement with a diversity of perspectives through responsible editorial practices. Pharos is focused specifically on the ancient Mediterranean. While broader humanities journals exist, a journal tailored to Ancient Greek and Roman Studies will allow more students to publish work focused on the Ancient Mediterranean.
