Final proposal to encode the Old Persian script in the UCS

Abstract

This is a proposal to encode the Old Persian script in the international character encoding standard Unicode. The script was published in Unicode Standard version 4.1 in March 2005. Old Persian was invented by about 525 BCE for the monumental inscriptions of the Achaemenid king Darius I.
