This comment letter responds to the Office of Science and Technology Policy’s request for information on public access to peer-reviewed publications, data, and code resulting from federally funded research. UC strongly recommends a zero-day embargo for federally funded peer-reviewed manuscripts, standardized data-sharing requirements across federal agencies, and continued federal support for open-access publishing and long-term research data management costs.
