This comment letter responds to the Office of Science and Technology Policy’s request for information on strengthening the American research environment. UC recommends greater coordination and consistency across federal agencies in policies addressing research rigor and integrity, administrative burden, research security and foreign influence, and safe and inclusive research environments, while emphasizing the importance of preserving open international scientific collaboration.
