Cohesion Web Interface to EmStar

Abstract

2005 CENS Summer Intern:Emstar, a software infrastructure developed by CENS, is used to monitor wireless sensor networks (among other things). However, using EmStar requires a level of programming and Linux skill that the general scientific community should not be required to possess. Our objective was to create an easy to use internet interface, named Cohesion, so that anyone with basic web knowledge can take advantage of the capabilities of EmStar. Over the duration of the internship, we have developed the layout of the homepage and implemented several of the links from the homepage. Currently, users can send queries to a mote network and view network status information.
