Frontiers of Biogeography

In this issue Minchin and Quigley review the disseminules known to be carried by ocean currents to western Europe. The image is of a stranded fruit of the coconut (Cocos nucifera) on a Florida shore, the largest to make a North Atlantic crossing and rarely viable after floating 110 days.
