Can Recreational Diver Surveys Lead to Conservation Action? A Case Study of the Revillagigego Archipelgo

Abstract

Surveys were conducted with recreational divers in the Revillagigedos Islands to determine if the island’s tourist attracting shark and manta ray populations have always been so abundant. A comparison with historical data was done to determine how populations may have changed over time.
