An experimental Remote Underwater Manipulatorconstructed at the Marine Physical Laboratory is described.Features of the design which permit operationat deep submergence in the ocean over 5 miles of smallcoaxial cable are discussed. Pertinent electronic circuitsare shown and their general operation outlined.
