UC Comment Letters

This comment letter responds to the Office for Human Research Protections’ draft guidance on the use of a single Institutional Review Board (IRB) for cooperative research. UC supports clearer guidance but recommends additional flexibility and clarification around single-IRB exceptions, selection of reviewing IRBs, local institutional review responsibilities, and reliance agreements, while urging OHRP to reduce administrative burden by developing resources such as a compendium of state laws relevant to human-subject research.
