Aim and Scope
The Proceedings of the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese Graduate Conference is an online academic journal dedicated to publishing the papers submitted and presented at the annual UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese Graduate Conference.
While the theme of each year’s conference is distinct and unique, the common scope is that of the Luso-Hispanic world, including language, literature and other forms of cultural expression. The articles included in each volume will reflect the topic of that year. Presenters consist of researchers and graduate students, both from across the United States as well as abroad. After the Conference, papers that were presented undergo a thorough peer-review process of which the final step is publication here.
The main goal of the Proceedings of the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese Graduate Conference is to assist in international scholarly communication about current issues in Luso-Hispanic studies. Allowing free, unrestricted access to quality information on these topics permits academics and others interested to easily see current research being conducted by researchers in the field.
