In celebration of the journal’s legacy, the Mester editorial board is pleased to announce a special series of interviews with former Editors-in-Chief.

As we prepare for the 55th edition of Mester, founded in 1970, this initiative aims to honor the journal’s history by reflecting on the experiences of those who have shaped it over the years. We spoke with five former Editors-in-Chief about their time leading the journal, their academic journeys, and their lives as Ph.D. students at UCLA.
