Writing Circles
The Journal of Diversity and Equity in Educational Development (JDEED) aims to implement practices and policies to diversify academic scholarship by supporting educational developers from minoritized backgrounds at various stages in their writing career with the resources needed to advance their research projects and interests. To that end, the JDEED editorial team offers a variety of resources for educational developers interested in, or pursuing academic scholarship projects. Below are our recurring, upcoming supportive writing events:
Biweekly Writing Circle
When: 2026-2027 Academic Year [link to schedule coming soon]
Duration: 90 minutes
Registration requested
Join peers for a biweekly Writing Circle on Zoom. Log on, briefly share what you'll be working on, and then write! Stay for the entire time, or leave when you need to. Attend every session or as often as your schedule allows. This low-key, shared writing time provides both community and a dedicated appointment during which you may work on your projects. Regardless of what stage your project is in—from idea to final draft—or what type of project you’re working on, you are welcome to join. See our previous sessions.
